Route map - Denver to Indiana

Here's a map of the route we're taking from Denver to the T@B factory in Bristol, Indiana.

Tabette visits Nebraska

Hi All.
I don't have much to report today because it was a travel day but wanted to let you all know that I did get started on my trip, although a little later than planned. I thought today's journey to Grand Island, Nebraska was going to be about 360 miles but it turned out to be more like 450 miles. After a long day driving in the hot sun (100 degrees), the shade tree at my camp site was much appreciated. Roxie was freaked by the roar of the cicadas. I told her that she will have many more interesting and challenging adventures ahead, so she should get prepared mentally. Here's a picture of my little campsite, right on the edge of a cornfield. That's Roxie in the foreground.

The next camper was an RV whose dinette slide out was just a few inches from my little picnic table. I refrained from asking them to pass the grey poupon, but was sorely tempted. I don't really like these KOA campsites, but they work well when you're traveling and just want to make a quick stop. I didn't even unhitch, so I will be able to make a quick getaway in the morning.

The Nebraska landscape is very pretty and much greener than Colorado. Lots of farms, lakes, canals, hay fields, and cornfields. Tomorrow we leave Nebraska and drive through most of Iowa. Then on to Indiana. The midwest is very large...
